সি.আর.আর বা Cash Reserve Requirement মূলত তালিকাভুক্ত বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংক ও কেন্দ্রীয়ব্যাংকের সাথে সংরক্ষিত বিধিবদ্ধ আমানতের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত। প্রতিটি তালিকাভুক্ত বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংককেই নিজ নিজ চলতি ও মেয়াদি আমানতের একটা নির্দিষ্ট অংশ বা অনুপাত কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের কাছে নগদ জমা হিসাবে রাখতে হয়।এই নগদ জমাকৃত অর্থকে অনেকে বিধিবদ্ধ নগদ জমা হিসেবেও বলে থাকে।কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংক এই বিধিবদ্ধ নগদ জমার হার প্রয়োজনে হ্রাস বা বৃদ্ধি করতে পারে।

Definition: Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is a specified minimum fraction of the total deposits of customers, which commercial banks have to hold as reserves either in cash or as deposits with the central bank. CRR is set according to the guidelines of the central bank of a country.
